Our story
A chair, a lamp and a pump that hurt
Nursi Luna began in the same place most pumping stories do: a nursing chair at night, a lamp turned low, and a 24mm shield that nobody had said might be the wrong size.
Why the moon
Luna is for the hours under the moon — the feeds at 2 and 4 a.m. that nobody else sees. We wanted a name that belonged to those hours, and products that make them a little easier.
We started with the thing that caused the most quiet pain: flange size. Pumps come with one or two sizes; mothers come in dozens. So we made soft silicone inserts in five sizes and put a ruler in the box, and later worked with an IBCLC to shape the kit and its guide.
What we hold ourselves to
- Comfort first. If a part rubs, pinches or confuses, we change it.
- Food-grade, BPA-free. Everything that touches you or your milk.
- Plain instructions. A guide you can read one-handed in the dark.
Things we have designed
Beyond the kits on this site, our designs include double wearable pumps in six colourways and an electric nipple corrector. What is available changes over time; the current range lives on our shelves.
